Youth Development is at the heart of the GBUFA. The GBFUA aims to promote floorball for everyone in the UK and in particular for the youth. The GBFUA Youth league is the largest in the country and youth makes about half of all GBFUA members!

Further more there are leagues running up and down the country at schools and other educational centres. These leagues are not under the GBFUA but we still support them the best we can by helping them to start up teams and to contact near by schools to run awarness sessions and form new leagues.

The GBFUA Youth Committee is dedicated exclusively to the needs of the Floorball Youth in the UK, it has some youth members on it, and supports the Youth League and the GB Under 19 Team (GBU19). The GBFUA does not publish much information about the Youth events but reports on the Cotswold league are often published as Youth News, you will need to contact us for futher details on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The vast majority of the refereeing is done by youth members, some referees start at only 9 years of age...but they are already refereeing games!

The Youth project has worked very hard over the years with develop the skills of a new generation of players, some of them have enjoyed floorball overseas and some have even joined the GBU19 and senior GB teams!
